Archers of Loaf

The boys from North Carolina. Even though they were not very famous outside of Europe and UNC they were a great bad. Sadly they had to break up because of the guitarist. He went mad in a sense, having to get Shock Theropy. The singer continued his musical career and now makes solo art. My cousin Eric (the guitarist) has retired from the band and is now a lawyer. The Archers came out with quite a few albums and are one of my favorite bands

Wonderland Lyrics (Big Country)

Wonderland

If you could feel
How I must feel
The winds of quiet change
If you could see
What I must see
Still hidden in the rain
But when the thunder rolls
It comes and covers up my soul
And you will take my hand
And be with me in wonderland
Chorus
I am an honest man
I need the love of you
I am a working man
I feel the winter too
If you could hear
What I must hear
Then nothing would replace
The fifty years of sweat and tears
That never left a trace
But when I look at you I see
You feel the same way too
And you will take my hand and be
With me in wonderland
Chorus
You still remember other days
When every head was high
I watched that pride be torn apart
Beneath a darker sky
With innocence within ourselves
We sing the same old song
And you will take my hand
And make believe it's wonderland
I need the love of you
I am a working man
I feel the winter too
Chorus
Wonderland (four times, fading out)

I would like to give a shout out to Captain Sensable on his political party in England, The Blah Party!

The very funny thing about this is in the background they play Captains song "Happy Talk."

The Damned

The Damned started out as three young lads in a pub. Captain and Brian found Dave drinking and asked him if he had ever sung in his life and if he wanted to join the band. Of course at the time Dave was a grave digger and thought being in a band would be a good turn over. But truthfully he had never sung in his life, nor could he play any instrument. Over the years The Damned developed and were popular among many Europeans. They would constantly switch out drummers and base players but Dave (Singer) and Captain Sensible (Guitarist) almost always stuck with the band. Sadly they broke up for a little while, though only years later came back.

At one point in Captains life he covered a song called "Happy Talk" and subsequently cannot remember the five years afterwards. He was loaded for a while, but eventually ran out of money and came back to the damned. Now they are still going and recently came out with a new album. The Damned are truly timeless!

Big Country

Big Country to me is the greatest band of all time. Coming out with album after album and even doing the sound track to a movie, they will never die in our hearts. Stuart Adamson (singer and guitar player) was born April 11th, 1955 and committed suicide in Hawaii due to drugs and depression on December 16th, 2001. They're first album "The Crossing" was wonderful and hosted many of their most famous songs. Later on in life Stuart Adamson moved to America from Scotland. Afterwards they kept putting out albums, like "Peace in Our Time." This is the most memorable band I will ever know.

British Sea Power!

British Sea Power is a thriving new band that sounds like they belong about 30 years before now. They recently came out with their album "Do you like Rock Music?" They are a very green oriented band and really love nature. Sometimes they will make reporters hike miles into the forest to get an interview. When i went to see them in Asheville the concert was awesome and I’m surprised it didn't knock the Grey Eagle down.

The Church

Has anyone ever heard of a group called "The Church." If not, why are you on my blog? eh? They have been going for a very long time and have put out countless albums. Steve Kilbey being the leader of the band has been one of my father and my favorite musicians for life. "The Blurred Crusade" is my favorite album. Check out the song "almost with you" on the album: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gWRK0Prfpv8 Or as the band would probably prefer "Sealine:" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s0z6kpn37fA
